Emily Griffith grew up in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Kent Denver High School in 2011. During her senior year at Kent Denver Emily became scuba certified as a requirement for her Marine Biology course that was taught by the found er of Teen4Oceans, Trevor Mendelow.
Emily fell in love with the underwater world when she participated in a Teens4Oceans sponsored scuba trip to Key Largo, Florida. After these first scuba dives Emily wasted no time continuing her marine science education. She proceeded to receive her PADI Advanced Open Water certification while participating in the Teens4Oceans Aquarius underwater Reef Base survey, which is also located in Key Largo, Florida. Emily currently attends Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She works as an intern for Teens4Oeans and plans to further her professional involvement in marine exploration and conservation by majoring in Marine Biology. She will continue to be an advocate and participant in Teens4Oceans.

Keegan Cross is a Denver native and a recent graduate from Kent Denver School in 2011. He had early exposure to the ocean during his annual travels to Manzanillo, Mexico as a child, and his interest in the marine world has since then grown exponentially.

As a class requirement, Keegan got PADI Open Water Certified early in his senior year, while taking a marine biology course taught by the founder of Teens4Oceans, Trevor Mendelow. Upon returning from Key Largo, Florida where he acquired his certification, he was eager to continue scuba diving and with Teens4Oceans. Later in his senior year, Keegan returned to Key Largo, Florida with a Teens4Oceans group and participated in a survey of the Aquarius Reef Base, as well as earning his PADI Advanced Open Water Certification.
After graduating, Keegan became even more involved with Teens4Oceans, and became a full time intern over the summer. He is now a current student at Duke University and plans on studying marine biology as well as business. In addition Keegan is an avid world |
