This photo shows a diver among giant jellyfish, Echizen kurage or Nomura’s Jellyfish. Each year thousands of these jellyfish swarm the coasts of Maizuru in Kyoto. The jellyfish can grow up to 2 meters in diameter and weigh up to 440 lbs. Oftentimes these jellyfish find themselves tangles in Japanese fishermen’s nets. |
