Sofia became fascinated with the oceans after snorkeling in the British Virgin Islands. She received her SCUBA license when she was twelve. Joining Teens4Oceans was for her a way to protect threatened environments. Sofia went to the DEMA trade show in Las Vegas in November 2010. She is a Junior at Kent Denver School and co-chair of the student advisory board.
